After I finished my run last night (yes, last night)… Nothing like waiting until the end of a Sunday to get your run in! (wished I had just run in the morning like I planned).
I sat down and totaled my mileage for the week and noticed I made it to 30 miles for the week! Yay! My first week since Chicago Marathon week (6 weeks prior), that I had more than 13 miles total. For whatever reason (probably some sort of overuse injury), my right lower leg, just under my calf had been really sore since the marathon. After resting, lots of stretching, icing, and short slow runs, the soreness is finally gone! 🙂
Not only am I thankful the soreness is gone, and that I am back to weekly mileage of 30 miles, I am thankful for having a healthy body, two legs that allow me to do what I love to do (run), and most of all, having two healthy and loving children, and a wonderful hubby. Sometimes I think we all take life for granted, and need to be reminded to be thankful every day of the year, myself included. 🙂

M- 7 mi.(with my friend Kathy) 1:01:41 (8:51 ave pace)
T- 5 mi.
W- 4 mi. on the TM 31:51 (7:58 ave.) varied incline from 1-2
Th- Rest Day (Out of town to visit In-Laws for Thanksgiving)
F- 6 mi. (Evening run with my friend Amanda) 57:19 (9:27)
Sat.- Rest Day
Sun.- 8 mi. on the TM 66:38 (8:27 ave. for 7 mi., 7:30 pace last mi.)
